Created by Wendigo Workshop

Last Hope is a dark Magical Girls game within which you play as teenage or young adult characters chosen to fight corruption in a dream-like version of the world, while also balancing their mundane life, their struggles, and their relationships.

The campaign is ending soon! / La campagne se termine bientôt!

It has been a really good one and it's still going! We've been having fun, the support has been amazing, and there's still time to unlock more content for the game!

We're currently 357$ away from unlocking the solo mode! It was a really popular goal, and we're quite sure we'll be able to reach it. Next stop will be a Soundtrack at 37,500$. Beyond a soundtrack, we'll see what happens. The goals are there, we'll see if we reach them too!

Thank you so much to all 387 of you! That's a lot of people! Seeing you all show up for this project is very special, and we'll never thank you enough!

The Tainted Heart and Wild Heart are neck and neck in the poll for the next illustration (we're not that surprised (^_~) )! You can still vote for your favorite until the current character is finished (which should be next Monday).

If you want to check another game in a similar setting (strange city plagued by even stranger events) go check Midnight in Jubilation. It's a really cool game and if you like Last Hope, you'll probably like it too!

Midnight in Jubilation is a solo horror RPG designed for journalling. It’s a game about flawed, complex people; secrets and monsters, and attempting to survive for as long as possible. During the game you play as the newest overnight radio presenter in a town called Jubilation. Yet nothing here is quite what it seems. You’ll be taking unsettling calls, helping to decide the nightly radio program, and interacting with the townsfolk. Although you’ll quickly find that several of them are as dangerous as the things that emerge from the shadows once the sun has stolen away across the trees.

Midnight in Jubilation funded on its first day in Pocketopia 2026, and has already unlocked six stretch goals. This includes an additional pledge tier to have a hardcover copy of the book, along with the digital documents. All of which have been checked by an accessibility consultant to ensure they’re compatible with screen readers. They’re also very close to unlocking the seventh stretch goal, which will allow backers to add someone to the Missing Person’s List in the Appendix, which can also be used in play! Come and check it out for yourself. Jubilation is waiting for you.

See you soon!

Nine days left!!
20 days ago – Tue, May 19, 2026 at 05:37:36 PM

Hello everyone!

There's only NINE days left to Last Hope's campaign. Crazy how time flies!

We unlocked three Stretch Goals: more character art, more illustration, and better quality print; but we can unlock more!

We're currently 1,126$ away from our next goal, which is an adaptation of the rules to allow solo play! We've been thinking a bit, and we might include both a:
  • Squad-based solo (a bit like the usual RPG style of one person controlling all characters, and weaving storytelling elements that allows for relationships with them);
  • Sole Magical Girl solo (where you're the only one with powers and your friends are normal humans).

They bring two, totally different vibes but people seem interested in exploring both as possible ways to play, so we'll do our best to integrate them!

If you have friends (or foes maybe?) that would be interested in the game, share the Backerkit campaign with them! This community is how we're able to do this, so sharing it around is the best way to get more passionate people on board. If you're still on the fence, you can even use the 1$ tier to follow along and if you want more, you can always add items later!

A little part in both languages

  • Starting at 37.30, we have an overview of Last Hope by French channel IND100 Podcast. They also speak about Triangle Agency, if you're interested in watching the full video (in French only)!

Don't forget to check other projects in the Tabletop Tavern banner! There's a lot of interesting games in there and you can even receive free content when you back three or more projects. We personally give a small, two players horse racing game, and a solo horror game about a haunted mansion.

We're also in a collaboration with Geekhive Labs for their Aetas Draconis project. They offer a beautiful deck of playing cards, which you can also use as a cartomancy oracle. It's dragon-themed too and dragons are cool! You can even receive free stickers when you back both our projects!

The poll is closed (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

Hello everyone!

We're a bit late on the polls because we were setting up our booth at D20 Convention (if you are from Québec and can come say hello, we'll be there all weekend)!

The winner for the Stretch Goal after the Solo Mode is....................... A Soundtrack! We're quite excited because we have a lot of plans. We're aiming to have an around 8 to 12 songs soundtrack, covering different moments of play (action, exploration, downtime, and an opening (maybe an ending too?!)

We've updated the graphic element to include all other Stretch Goals in order of popularity:
  1. VTT System
  2. Monster Minis
  3. Character Minis

If we, somehow, go beyond that, I think we can just enjoy the success, and apply it to our lives and our next projects! We also added a lot of content that will need work and we don't want to delay the release TOO much (we're still only three people and a couple of artists).

It's been really fun to see you interact with the project! We never thought that it would have this level of success and we're overwhelmed by the love and support! 230% funded is crazy! Thank you so much!

Some good news, if you will!

Hello everyone!

The last few days have been way calmer so we were able to do a couple of things such as:
  • Messaged our printer to see how much it would cost us to do a print run of the cards to see if we would, in the end, need a Stretch Goal for them following the Solo Mode.
  • Update the Characters reference sheets so we could add the additional, funded illustrations and give them to our artist.
  • Continued the illustrations for the Gacha items (every item will have 4 variants for the cards. Ex. the nail polish has four different shapes: star, moon, heart, and butterfly. This will allow the cards to all be different without resorting to color swaps, and since we recommend 2 to 4 players, everyone can have an item of the same type! We can also use them to fill space in the book as needed.)

We also received an answer from the printer earlier today and we now know can cover the base costs of a 100 deck print run using funds from previous projects! Additional decks ordered during the campaign will offset the costs to increase the print run's size (if needed), and since it was a *very* popular choice (more than we thought), we decided to just add it to the campaign as an add-on!

The cards will be Tarot-sized (2.75 x 4.75 inches, double-sided) and use 12 pts C2C cardboard. All decks will come with an illustrated tuck-in box to protect the cards, and will have the text in both French and English. All tiers that should have received them as an "unlocked" Stretch Goal will have them added to their included items.

The Solo Mode is well underway for funding! We are currently at 93%, so let's do this together! The NEXT Stretch Goal is currently a Soundtrack, but there's still time to turn the tides (it's a tight race between the VTT and the Soundtrack)!

The polls are done, 221% funded, and more!

Hello everyone!

We want to thank you again for all of your support. It's been an amazing campaign so far and we are still stunned by the success. 221% funded and 334 Backers is... beyond anything we could have ever hoped! Like, really, wow, no words can express our gratitude enough.

The winner for the next Stretch Goal is a Solo Adaptation! While we want to keep the vibes of « friendship is important when fighting corruption (inside and outside The Dreamscape) », we'll adapt the game so you can play as the sole protagonist (you'll probably still be able to control your little squad or something (maybe both), we're still pondering)!

If you are intrigued by the results of both polls, our compilation gave the following order for what's next after the solo mode:
  1. Printed Gacha Deck
  2. Foundry VTT System + Module (this Goal would be to cover the creation of the system, modules would still be separate add-ons)
  3. A Soundtrack
  4. Minis of Monsters (STL + already printed)
  5. Minis of Characters (STL + already printed)

But why, oh why aren't they in the graphic to know how much you need to unlock them, you may ask?

Well, we've been in touch with our local printer for the card deck and we are waiting for their quotes. If it is something that we CAN cover, the deck will NOT be a Stretch Goal, we'll just add it to the available add-ons (and the big, physical tiers will have them added to their pledge, as if it was an unlocked Goal). Exciting!

The deck of cards was so popular that it will be the next goal, if we don't just... unlock it because we can!

We also wanted to make a new Poll that would include choices 2 to 5, in case you changed your mind (and to include new Backers)! As we said before, we didn't really plan anything following the higher quality print, and we want YOU to tell US what you want!

Again, thank you SO, SO much for your incredible support. We're extremely happy to be able to offer you the best possible version of Last Hope. We couldn't to this without you, you're all amazing!

If you wish to check out more Pocketopia projects, you can check all banners and games HERE! You might even find the game you never know you needed (and a bunch of free stuff if you back multiple projects)!

We're also in a collaboration with Geekhive Labs for their Aetas Draconis project! They offer a beautiful deck of playing cards, which you can also use as a cartomancy oracle. It's dragon-themed too and dragons are cool!

That's all for us for now, thank you again, and have a great day/evening/night, wherever you're from!
